Public Art Program
Process
Community understanding and participation is what inspires artists to create artworks that reflect our city. This process of civic engagement is described in a documentary, which introduces Nashville’s Public Art Program and its value in urban design. The steps are illustrated by a walk through the selection process and installation of the first Percent for Public Art project, the Ghost Ballet for the East Bank Machineworks, by artist Alice Aycock.
